IMMAGINI
Description
Cross from the 11th–12th century marking the mule track to the Abbey of St Ellero. One side shows the Dextra Dei (blessing hand); the other the Agnus Crucifer (Lamb bearing the Cross). The hand is rendered with remarkable anatomical realism. Until recently, it stood on a column with a capital (still in place) opposite the Podestà Palace of Galeata.
